PEI (polyetherimide, trademark Ultem) has a glass transition temperature of 217°C, combining high strength, high heat resistance and intrinsic flame retardancy

PEI (polyetherimide, SABIC trademark Ultem) has a glass transition temperature of 217°C and continuous use temperature of 170°C, while maintaining high strength, high rigidity and dimensional stability, representing the leading amorphous high-performance engineering plastic.
PEI is naturally flame retardant (UL94 V-0, low smoke and low toxicity) and meets aviation and rail transit flame retardancy requirements without additives. It is a lightweight material that can replace metal and certain thermosetting plastics; its machinability is good, achieving smooth surfaces.
PEI requires drying after moisture absorption and post-machining stress-relief annealing is recommended to prevent stress cracking. We specialize in batch production, 100 pcs MOQ, batch lead time 15-25 days, with batch traceability to original manufacturer and material certificates provided.
Besides PEI (Ultem), PEI (Ultem) offers several other grades with different characteristics. Click to view details.
